Before becoming an Elvis Tribute in 2017, James was a five-time Sony Award-winning national and regional radio presenter for almost 20 years. This experience of live presentation has given James the ability to really connect and engage with his audiences, something for which he is often praised.
When performing his tribute to Elvis, James conveys Elvis’ charisma and sense of playfulness on stage which he combines with his own personality. To make his show sound and look its best, James’ act uses the finest quality Elvis backing tracks on the market today, a superb sound system and costumes made by B&K in America who supplied the wardrobe for the Elvis biopic starring Austin Butler and Tom Hanks. James also worked as a backing singer for the Canada-based “E.P. Project”, a company that replicated, in backing track form, Elvis’ concerts from the 1970s note-for-note using real instruments. James has flown over to their studio to lend his vocal talents to their last three albums, which also feature two of Elvis’ on-stage musicians, Walt Johnson and Glen D. Hardin.
Publicly, James regularly entertains at hotels, holiday parks, festivals, charity dinners, cabaret bars and social clubs in the U.K. and abroad. He has also taken his show on a cruise around the Mediterranean and he has several long-term engagements at venues around the South West.
For private clients, James has performed at every event from weddings to anniversaries, to Captain’s Days at golf clubs and surprise birthday parties.
